According to NIH grants policy, all grantee publications must include the following two statements:
- A specific acknowledgment of NIH grant support (KPMP funding acknowledgement above)
- A disclaimer that says:
"The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the National Institutes of Health.”
In addition, all publications must be submitted to the digital archive PubMed Central (PMC) upon acceptance so that they are publicly available no later than 12 months after publication.
This requirement applies to all of the following:
- Research publications
- Press releases
- Other publications or documents about research that is funded by NIH
